Eli Preminger, trumpeter (Israel)

Eli Preminger is one of the leading trumpeters of the folk and traditional jazz music scene in Israel. As trumpeter and arranger in various ensembles he has appeared in leading festivals such as the Israel Festival, the Montreal Jazz festival, the Jewish festival in Krakow, the Sacred Music festival in Jerusalem, among others. In Israel he performs with Marsh Dondurma Orchestra and with various klezmer and jazz ensembles in a variety of venues, including the concert hall as well as street concerts, in New Orleans style. As a Yiddish tradition lover, he is researching the Jewish traditional song realm. In addition to his varied repertoire he leads workshops of Yiddish songs and presents the richness of the East-European Jewish folklore.
