Guy Ostrun was born in 1995 in Netanya, Israel.
Guy began his first piano lessons at the age of 8, under the guidance of Alex Shapira, at the Israeli Conservatory named after "Shtriker" in Tel Aviv.
From the age of twelve, Guy participated in the " Edward Aldwell" project for Outstanding Musicians, in Jerusalem, in which he performed live on radio, both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles. Throughout the years, Guy has studied with the best teachers in the field, such as maestro Vag Papian, Mr. Daniel Hoexter, Mr. Yuval Admony and Tami Kanazawa, Prof. Arnon Erez and others.
Guy has won many scholarships, including the " Ronen" Foundation, the Buchman - Heiman Foundation for promising musicians and excellence scholarships in all of his academic studies at the "Buchamn- Mehta" School of Music" in Tel Aviv University. In addition, Guy won several competitions,
both in Isreal and abroad such as the " Young Artist" Competition for Chamber Ensembles in Jerusalem, the prestigious Chopin Roma (Italy) international competition for piano Duos ( 3rd prize) and also the prestigious Carles & Sofia International Duo piano competition for 4 hands – 1st Prize) Gold Hands (2024).
Moreover, Guy has performed in concerts and festivals around the world such as the national Festival for Chamber Music in Jerusalem ( 2015), Festival in Serbia for duets, fundraising Events organized by the Jewish Community in London and Hong Kong and a Special Project for children held in the Theatre in Venice twice both in 2018 and in 2023.
Guy currently hold a masters degree with honors from the "Buchman- Mehta School of Music " in Tel Aviv University.
Guy has worked collaboratively with the best conductors in Israel such as Maestro Roni Porat, Maestro Yaron Gotfried and others. Between the years 2016-2023 guy had been invited to accompany conducting classes guided by
maestro Porat.
In June 2023 Guy and his twin brother Alon were invited to give a full Duo Piano recital broadcasted live in "Kol-Hamuzika" station in JMC center, Jerusalem.
Guy and his twin brother had performed in the best Music halls in Israel such as heichal hatarbut hall named after Charles Bronfman in Tel Aviv, BYU Jerusalem Center live broadcasted concert , Herzelia Center for Arts and more.
Currently, Guy is working in the top Music Schools for children in
Israel and works with choirs.
